French Funds Suffering in 2008

After a sharp fall in the market, assets under management (AUM) within the French mutual fund industry fell 6% last month.

Data supplied by EuroPerformance shows that equity funds fell more than 10% of their average value while diversified funds had less problems only falling 5.2%.

Money market plus funds saw the greatest drop with a decrease of 37.8%, within AUMs since the beginning of the year.

Less risky money market cash funds saw a rise of 9.3%. Bond funds invested in Eurozone fell .66%, while classic money market funds saw an increase of 1.93%.
