FUSE Research is getting wise on Europe.

The Needham, Mass.-based research and consulting firm announced today that it has partnered with London-based advisory and research firm The Platforum.

As part of the strategic partnership, FUSE will serve as the exclusive U.S. distribution agent for The Platforum’s European Platform Guide, which covers European fund platforms and open architecture platforms.

Regarding the decision to partner with The Platforum, FUSE founder Neil Bathon said in a press release, "The Platforum is producing the most insightful and complete coverage of European fund platforms, which serves as an invaluable resource to U.S. asset managers either participating or looking to participate in the European fund market."

"Our partnership with FUSE Research will ensure that U.S. asset managers have the expert investment decisions as it relates to their European distribution effort," added Holly Mackay, managing director of The Platforum.

According to recent Platforum research, European open architecture platforms reached 958 billion euros in assets under administration as of September 2012, of which the U.K., Italy, Germany and France were responsible for a 636 billion euros.

"We are continuing to see a growing concentration of open architecture platforms across Europe," Mackay said.
