Gabelli Asset Management has named Howard F. Ward director of growth products, a position in which he will oversee domestic and foreign growth equity products for both mutual funds and separately managed accounts.
Ward has been with Gabelli for 10 years, and is currently the skipper of the $1.4 billion Gabelli Growth Fund, a position he will continue to hold. Also added to his responsibilities will be membership on the company's Global Growth Fund team.
"We plan to leverage Howard's 25 years of experience in the domestic growth area to further enhance our global growth efforts," said CEO and Chairman Mario Gabelli, to whom Ward will report. "He has contributed greatly to the success of the firm since he joined us, and now has a well-deserved opportunity to build on that success."
