Hedge Fund Firm Launches Mutual Fund

TFS Capital, a hedge fund, has launched its first ever mutual fund, the TFS Market Neutral Fund, Hedge World News reports.

The new fund is designed to let clients who cannot afford to invest in more expensive hedge funds to take advantage of a hedge fund-like strategy. With a minimum initial deposit of just $5,000, an investor can dive into a no-load fund that offers alternative investment strategies. As of now, only about 50 to 100 funds in the country do the same.

TFS, which offers such hedge funds as the Huntrise Capital Leveraged Partners and Huntrise Global Partners, had earlier this year created another market neutral fund – a hedge fund called Huntrise Market Neutral LLC.

As of Sept. 30, Huntrise’s four hedge funds handled more than $55 million.
