Hisey Named President of AARP Financial, Funds

AARP has appointed Richard Hisey as the new president of AARP Financial Inc. and AARP Funds. Formerly, Hisey served as the CIO of AARP Financial and treasurer of AARP Funds.

 

Prior to starting at AARP in 2006, Hisey was executive vice president and CIO of Cole Management Incorporated, a venture capital firm that focused on early investment in Russia. Before that, Hisey held positions as CIO of MFS Group of Mutual Funds, senior vice president of The Bank of New York and EVP and CFO at Lexington Global Asset Managers, Inc., which is now a part of ING/ReliaStar. He was at Lexington for 15 years, where he additionally served as the CFO and Treasurer of mutual funds and was a member of the board of directors. At Lexington he managed both the Corporate Leaders Trust Fund and the first open-ended Russian equity mutual fund, which he created.

 

Hisey possesses a Chartered Financial Analyst designation, and is a member of the CFA Institute and Boston Society of Security Analysts.
