Investors plunged back into bond funds with gusto for the week ended April 24, after two consecutive weeks of taking their foot off the petal, according to estimates from theInvestment Company Institute. Net inflows into bond funds for the week were $5.8 billion, compared to $1.7 billion for the week ended April 10 and $1.5 billion for the week ended April 17, according to ICI numbers.

$5.6 billion flowed into taxable bond funds and $133 million was garnered by muni bond funds, according to ICI estimates.
