ICI Encourages Participation in ‘America Saves’ Week

Regardless of the stock market and the hit most people’s 401(k)s have taken over the past year, it is critical for Americans to be committed to save. That is the message of “America Saves” week, Feb. 22 through March 1.

The Investment Company Institute and more than 1,000 other businesses and organizations will be stressing this point during that week.

“Now more than ever, it’s important to stick with it,” said ICI President and CEO Paul Schott Stevens. “History tells us that markets will recover, and your accounts will rebound along with them.”

Stevens said it is critical that the companies supporting “America Saves” week get the message out to investors.
