Jon Bartholomew was named vice president, retirement sales of Nvest Funds of Boston after serving as a regional vice president there. Before joining Nvest, Bartholomew was program director for Retirement Plan Strategies of Braintree, Mass.
Michael Rizzo has joined Boston Financial Data Services as division vice president of product development and delivery. Prior to joining Boston Financial, Rizzo was the group information officer for the US mutual funds group at Scudder Kemper Investments of Boston.
John Cortis was named Pacific Northwest regional manager for Mellon Private Asset Management of Pittsburgh. Cortis, who joined Mellon Private Asset Management in 1994, was regional sales manager of northern California and the Pacific Northwest there.
Sal Sodano has been appointed vice chairman of the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) of Washington, D.C. Most recently, Sodano was chief operating officer for the NASD. He will continue in his role as chairman and CEO of the American Stock Exchange.
