U.S. Capital Advisors picked up a Wells Fargo team that oversaw $150 million in client assets, the firm said.

So far this year, U.S. Capital has recruited advisors managing more than $1.5 billion in assets, Managing Partner Patrick M. Mendenhall says. He adds that his firm, which currently has offices in Dallas, Houston and Austin, Texas, will likely add more teams this year.

"We are experiencing a lot of interest as we have had great growth in [the past] five years and it has clearly continued into 2016," Mendenhall says.

Among the firm's newest hires are Charles Dix, Clayton Fisher, Denise Clifton and Megan Price. They generated about $1.5 million in annual revenue, Mendenhall says. Also making the move is Eileen Stella, a senior client service associate.

A spokeswoman for Wells Fargo declined to comment.

The team, known as Dix-Fisher Financial Consulting Group, joined U.S. Capital in Dallas, where Dix will serve as a senior managing director and Dallas market manager.

The former Dallas market manager, Steve Head, will now oversee corporate business development at U.S. Capital Advisors, the firm says.

Dix has previous experience as a branch manager at Wells Fargo, Mendenhall says. He has more than 30 years of industry experience, having started his career at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter in 1984, according to FINRA BrokerCheck records. He moved to Wells Fargo in 2005.

Fisher started his advisory career at Wells Fargo, according to BrokerCheck records. Clifton moved to the wirehouse from Edward Jones in 2010. That same year, Price also joined the firm.

The team's move is also something of a family reunion. Dix's brother, John, joined U.S. Capital with his partner Karee Sampson several weeks ago. Like the Dix-Fisher Financial Consulting Group, the two advisors also work in the firm's Dallas office.
