Invesco Merges Away a 1-star Fund

Shareholders of the Invesco Commodities Strategy Fund this week approved a merger of the fund into the Invesco Balanced-Risk Commodity Strategy Fund. The reorganization is expected to be completed by June 11.

As part of the reorg, Invesco Commodities Strategy Fund has been in limited offering since February 22, 2011.

The Invesco Commodities Strategy Fund, which began trading on April 30, 2008, bets on derivatives and other commodity-linked instruments that provide exposure to the agricultural, energy, industrial metals and precious metals. It had an expense ratio of 75 basis points. Year-to-date it is down 6.59%, according to data from Bloomberg.
