Mutual funds gained $8.84 billion for the week ended Wednesday, April 3, according to the Investment Company Institute.
Investors pumped $1.25 billion into equity funds, compared to estimated inflows of $3.82 billion in the previous week. Domestic equity funds had estimated outflows of $1.83 million, while estimated inflows to world equity funds were $3.08 billion.
Hybrid funds also experienced inflows of $1.15 billion for the week, compared to estimated inflows of $1.82 billion in the previous week. And bond funds nearly doubled up on their previous week of inflows taking in $6.44 billion, compared to estimated inflows of $3.45 billion during the previous week.
