Janus Adds a Value Fund

In a departure from its growth orientation, Janus Capital of Denver plans to offer its first value fund on May 1, according to a preliminary prospectus filed Feb. 14 with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The Janus Global Value Fund will invest in companies throughout the world that Janus considers to be undervalued, according to the filing. The fund will use a variety of investment strategies and instruments and will generally invest in at least five different countries.
