Janus CEO Buys $1.5 Million in Shares

Janus Capital CEO Gary Black, has bought almost $1.5 million of the company's stock in the open market last Friday, the Associated Press reports. He purchased 75,000 shares at $19.75 a piece.

"This was an open market transaction, and clearly reflects Mr. Black's confidence in the firm," said Janus spokesperson Shelley Peterson.

Analyst Mark Lane of William Blair & Co., called the move a "pretty strong statement."
