Janus Replaces Chief of Worldwide Fund

Janus Capital Group announced that it has named Jason Yee manager of its Janus Worldwide Fund.

Yee, who managed the Janus Global Opportunities Fund, succeeds portfolio manager Laurence Chang, who is leaving the company, Janus said. The worldwide portfolio is a global stock fund that has performed below its benchmark for three years.

The worldwide fund was down 3.3% this year, and its benchmark, the Morgan Stanley Capital International World Index, is up 3.4%. Since June 2003, the worldwide fund is up 15.7%, while its benchmark is up 23.5%. For the past three years, the Janus fund is down 8.36% annually and the benchmark down 0.9% annually.

Yee has managed the global opportunities portfolio since it was started in June 2001.
