John Hancock Financial Services of Boston has announced three alliances that are designed to increase distribution of the company's products through banks.
John Hancock Financial Institutions Group, the sales and marketing arm of the company responsible for selling mutual funds, annuities and insurance products in the bank channel, signed selling agreements with First Union Corporation of Charlotte, N.C., Regions Financial Corporation of Birmingham, Ala., and Wachovia Insurance Services of Winston-Salem, N.C., according to the announcement.
