KBW Asset Management Hires Vice Presidents

KBW Asset Management (KBWAM), a New York-based affiliate of Keefe, Bruyette, and Woods, has announced two new appointments. KBWAM is an investment advisor that specializes in the financial services sector and primarily serves institutions and high-net-worth individuals.

Thomas Vieira has been named vice president of marketing for KBWAM. Vieira joins the firm from Fidelity Investments, where he served as an institutional marketer. He replaces Wayne Nordberg, who resigned from KBWAM without announcing the reason for his departure, according to a company spokesman.

KBWAM also named Michael Granger director of research. Granger, who is not replacing anyone, has previously covered the financial services sector as both a buy-side and sell-side research analyst. He most recently covered regional commercial banks at J.P. Morgan Securities.

"Having two strong veterans of the financial services industry join KBW Asset Management is a major coup," said Michael O'Brien, president and CEO.
