Long-Term Funds Net $1.75 Billion

Long-term mutual funds took in $1.75 billion in the week ended May 25, the Investment Company Institute said.

Equity funds had outflows of $3.16 billion for the week, compared to outflows of $25 million the previous week. Both domestic and foreign equity funds had outflows, with $2.39 billion being redeemed from domestic equity funds and $796 million being redeemed from foreign equity funds.

Hybird funds had inflows of $796 million, down slightly from the $892 million they took in the previous week.

Bond funds had inflows of $4.11 billion, compared to inflows of $6.51 billion the previous week. Taxable bond funds had inflows of $4.07 billion, and municipal bond funds took in $37 million.
