The fund is designed to deliver consistent returns regardless of the market environment or volatility by making tactical investments in a variety of fixed income securities—including government, sovereign and corporate bonds, equities, currencies and securitized assets. The fund will also take long and short positions and use derivatives.
Matthew Eagan, an expert in fixed income, Kevin Kearns, an expert in derivatives, and Todd Vandam, an experienced credit strategist, will managed the fund by identifying key global macro themes, assessing interest rates, and gauging the credit cycle and currency outlooks.
“Faced with a host of possible global economic scenarios over the next several years, we are always looking for ward to help investors acquire the flexibility needed to help maximize returns while stemming the downside risk associated with volatile markets,” said Loomis Sayles Fixed Income Chief Investment Officer Jae Park. “We believe this fund can provide a solution to that challenge.”
