LPL Upgrades Tools Suite for FAs

LPL Financial Retirement Partners has rolled out the next iteration of its portfolio of tools for retirement plan advisors working with plan sponsors.

The group's Tool Suite is positioned as a soup-to-nuts hub of tools and resources offering a homogeneous array of technology, training and support calibrated to help retirement plan advisors help sponsors conduct searches for plan providers and investment managers, keep tabs on fiduciary responsibility obligations and interface with clients.

An integral part of the new Tool Suite comes in the form of the Lineup Comparison Tool, a new module that offers advisors an expanded side-by-side comparison for various plans. Through the new visualization, advisors will be able to compare up to five plans with concise reports highlighting critical aspects of their performance and cost.

LPL said the Lineup Comparison Tool will be made available to "pre-qualified, retirement-plan-focused financial advisors."

In a statement, LPL Financial Retirement Partners Executive Vice President Bill Chetney said the new set of tools marks the "culmination of our integration with National Retirement Partners," a California-based broker-dealer specializing in retirement plans that LPL Financial snapped up last year.

"In keeping with our business model, we look forward to collaborating closely with our advisors to bring future enhancements and improvements to the Tool Suite, which offers benefits and services that are unmatched in the industry," Chetney said.

LPL Financial Retirement Partners, an independent broker-dealer and wholly owned subsidiary of LPL Financial, is dedicated to independent retirement plan advisors, offering both brokerage and practice management services.
