MainStay Closes Large Cap Fund

MainStay Investments has closed its $17.5 billion Large Cap Growth Fund to new investors.

According to a regulatory filing, the fund closed as a result of a “significant increase” in its net assets.” The fund, which began trading in April 2005, is managed by Clark Winslow and Justin Kelly and sports an expense ratio of 104 basis points.

Spokespeople for MainStay were not immediately available to comment on the fund’s closing.
