MassMutual Retirement Adds 3Sales Directors

MassMutual's Retirement Services Division has added three new sales directors to its sales and client management organization led by Hugh O'Toole, senior vice president.

Dararith Ly has been promoted to sales director within the division. In this role, Ly is responsible for covering retirement plan sales across Pennsylvania, Delaware, West Virginia and Southern New Jersey. Ly first joined MassMutual's Retirement Services Division in 2007 and has continually taken on increased responsibilities through multiple sales-focused roles.

John Randall has been hired as sales director within the division. In this role, Randall is based in Seattle, Washington and serves retirement plan clients in the Pacific Northwest, covering Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska territories. Before joining MassMutual, Mr. Randall most recently served as district manager with ADP Retirement Services.

Raymond Zittlow has also been promoted to sales director in the division. Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Zittlow is responsible for retirement plan sales in Minnesota, Montana, North and South Dakota. Zittlow most recently served as western collective investment trust practice leader with the division's Memphis branch.

Ly, Randall and Zittlow now report to Shefali Desai, emerging market sales manager with MassMutual's Retirement Services Division.

"These three highly qualified and driven team members bring over 50 years of financial services experience to MassMutual, and their contributions will help support the division's continued growth in the small-plan retirement plan market while enhancing our service to advisors and plan sponsors," stated Scott Buffington, national sales manager for MassMutual's Retirement Services Division.

The hires are just the latest of a series of expansions by the division.

In April, the division added two staffers. Ann Kutrow was hired as senior elationship manager for its south and central region client management team and also works with retirement plan advisors in the mid-market. Meanwhile, Garrett Carlough was promoted to managing director managing director with MassMutual’s Retirement Services Division, where he will manage business development and sales support of MassMutual's third-party and dedicated distribution channels in Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia.

Two other staffers were also added in March. Kevin Lynch was promoted to relationship manager with MassMutual’s Retirement Services Division, serving on the northeast region client management team, responsible for managing the division’s retirement plan business in the small- to mid-market segment. Erik Shaner also joined MassMutual’s Retirement Services Division as senior relationship manager, serving on the west region client management team. He is responsible for managing small- to mid-market customers in the Pacific Northwest region.
