MassMutual to Hold Seminar on Economy for Participants

MassMutual’s retirement services division is launching an interactive seminar series for participants on Feb. 23 called RetireSmart. The first session, on “Understanding What’s Driving the Economy,” will be presented by the firm’s Chief Economist Jerry Webman.

Webman will present his views in the first 30 minutes of the seminar and then take live questions in the second 30 minutes. The seminar will provide investors with insight into the financial markets, stress the importance of a diverse investment mix and address current economic developments.

“In the current environment, MassMutual participants are hungry for information, not just about retirement, but about the economy in general and how it might impact them financially,” said E. Heather Smiley, chief marketing officer for MassMutual’s retirement services division. “MassMutual’s RetireSmart educational offering is meant to help provide a level of comfort that comes with being informed about economic and financial matters. Participants are asking for this type of information, and we are pleased to deliver it.”
