Million-Dollar Advisor Goes Independent With Raymond James

A Wells Fargo advisor with $135 million in client assets joined the independent channel at Raymond James, according to one of the firm's managers.

Jon Sisson, a $1 million producer while working for the Wells Fargo Advisors bank channel, joins the Avenue Wealth Management Group of Watkinsville, Ga., Southeast Regional Director Jodi Perry says. He is joined by senior administrative assistant Lee Ann Jordan.

“For me, the freedom of being independent gives you the flexibility to control the client experience. Being able to customize your method to tailor the client’s individual needs is the best part of this practice. I admired that the firm [Raymond James] has a very clear identity and praises the client-based approach of its independent advisors," Sisson says. He adds that he joins a group of like-minded advisors at Avenue Wealth Management that "do business the way I’ve always wanted to."

Sisson joined the financial services industry in 1999 when he signed up to work for Edward Jones. He moved on to Wells Fargo Advisors in 2003, according to FINRA BrokerCheck records.
