Money Funds Bleed $4B

Total money market mutual fund assets dipped by $3.95 billion to $2.551 trillion for the week ended Wednesday, August 1, according to data from the Investment Company.

Taxable government funds increased by $1.89 billion, taxable non-government funds decreased by $5.85 billion, and tax-exempt funds were unchanged.

Assets of retail money market funds decreased by $580 million to $882.72 billion and assets of institutional money market funds decreased by $3.37 billion to $1.668 trillion.
