Money market fund assets fell by $2.27 billion in the week ended Oct. 21, bringing the total number of assets to $3.37 trillion, the Investment Company Institute said.

Retail money market funds lost $7.4 billion in assets, ending at $1.096 trillion, and institutional money funds gained $5.13 billion in assets, ending at $2.274 trillion.
