A former Morgan Stanley adviser who managed more than $260 million in client assets has joined Raymond James, a complex manager for the firm said.
Roger Veome generated $1.8 million in annual production while he worked for the wirehouse, said Brian Lampsa, Chicago area complex manager for Raymond James. Veome will work from the regional BD's Chicago office. He is joined by investment portfolio specialist Thomas Morrill and senior registered client service associate Katherine Wardell.

“We are delighted to welcome Roger, Tom and Kathy to Raymond James,” Lampsa said. “With their focus on serving high-net-worth individuals and families along with their outstanding client-first reputation and experience, they make a great addition to our Chicago team.”
Veome says attracting him to Raymond James was its "conservative financial management and historical profitability, highly regarded and substantial research and state-of-the-art technology."
"Ultimately, we concluded our clients could benefit significantly from the strength and breadth of resources at Raymond James as well as its client-centric culture," he said.
Veome began his financial services career in 1996 with Global Investment Services, according to FINRA BrokerCheck records. He went on to work for several firms afterwards, including Mesirow Financial and Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette, before landing at Morgan Stanley in 2009, records show. He was an executive director in Morgan's Private Wealth Management Group and one of the firm's elite family wealth directors, Raymond James said.
A Morgan Stanley spokeswoman was not immediately available for comment.
