Morgan Closes 3-Star Fund

Last week, shareholders of $253 million Morgan Stanley Mid Cap Growth Fund approved a move to transfer the fund’s assets to the Mid Cap Growth Portfolio in exchange for shares of Mid Cap Growth, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

The fund is up 4.52% year-to-date through Oct. 19 and is managed by Dennis Lynch, according to Lipper.

The reorganization will be completed on October 29. The fund's Class A, Class B, Class C and Class I shares were closed to new investors last March and its Class B shares were closed to new investors in May.
