Morningstar Bumps PIMCO, FPA Ratings Up Another Notch

Christmas came early for the FPA Perennial fund this year in the form of a Gold rating from Morningstar. The 3-star rated fund jumped one notch from a Silver rating to a Gold rating, according to Morningstar’s latest batch of newly rated fund.

The PIMCO Emerging Markets Currency fund also jumped one notch, from a Bronze rating to a Silver rating. However, the Bogle Small Cap Growth Instl fund dropped one notch from a Gold rating to a Silver rating. And the Lord Abbett Total Return I fund is no longer a Morningstar Medalist, having dropped its Bronze rating to a Neutral rating.

In total, Morningstar’s fund analysts assigned four Gold Analyst ratings, nine Silver ratings, and four Bronze ratings.
