NOVA Award Winners Honored at NICSA

A record turnout and reinvigorated market goals contributed to the upbeat celebrations highlighting the fund industry's best in service, leadership and innovation honorees at the 2015 NICSA/NOVA Awards, held at the organization's 2015 general membership meeting October 29 in Boston.

"I'm thrilled with this year's [general membership meeting]," says NICSA's newly named president, Jim Fitzpatrick. "We're in the process of re-energizing and redefining NICSA and the success of this event is proof we're heading in the right direction."

The NICSA Fund Industry Lifetime Achievement Award went to Paul O'Neil, a retired managing director of International Financial Data System Asia, for his achievements spanning 30 years in the financial services industry.

Maureen Leary-Jago, senior vice president at MFS Investment Management, took home the Visionary Leadership Award for her contributions to the industry as well as her community efforts.

DST Systems received the Innovation in Back Office Efficiencies Award, ALPS Fund Services received the Innovation in Customer Experience Award and SEI received an honorable mention for its Investor Fulfillment and Trade Order Solution.

NICSA reported more than 320 in attendance at the awards, a new record.

The organization's 2016 general membership meeting is scheduled for Sept. 19-20 at the Revere Hotel in Boston.
