Nuveen Registers Eight New Exchange-Traded Funds

Nuveen Investments of Chicago has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission for eight new closed-end exchange-traded municipal bond funds, according to Nuveen.

The eight new funds are the Nuveen Arizona, California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, North Carolina and Virginia Dividend Advantage Municipal Funds. Salomon Smith Barney will be lead manager of all eight funds, according to Nuveen. An offering date has not been established yet.

Nuveen currently has 59 closed-end exchange-traded funds, according to Angela Thomas, a spokesperson for Nuveen.
