Nuveen’s Large Cap Select Fund Drops R3 Shares

Nuveen Investments has pulled the plug on the shares of its Nuveen Large Cap Select Fund (FLRYX) sold to 401(k) plans.

Effective March 5, Class R3 shares of the Large Cap Select Fund were no longer offered for sale, according to a regulatory filing. A spokesperson for the firm was not immediately available to comment on the fund’s cancellation of its R3 shares. According to the fund’s statement of additional information, two 401(k) plans: Critter Control 401k Plan and Subaru of Grand Junction 401k, held the fund’s R3 shares in their portfolios as of Feb. 28.

The fund’s managers are David Chalupnik and Anthony Burger. The Large Cap Select Fund was launched in January 2003 and managed some $38.7 million as of March 11, accoding to Bloomberg.
