PBHG Funds Will Be Offered in Retirement Plans

The PBHG Small Cap Value Fund and the PBHG Mid-Cap Value Fund are available to 401(k) clients of Dreyfus Retirement Services and Scudder Kemper Retirement Services, according to Pilgrim Baxter & Associates of Wayne, Pa. Pilgrim Baxter is the investment adviser to PBHG Funds, a family of 17 no-load mutual funds.

The offering is part of Pilgrim Baxter's effort to promote PBHG funds in the 401(k) channel, according to Pilgrim Baxter.

"Most people think of PBHG Funds primarily as an aggressive growth fund family, and are not aware that our value offerings have outstanding records," said James Wylie, senior vice president of institutional marketing and client service for Pilgrim Baxter, in a statement.

The funds have been available to 401(k) clients since July 1. Other PBHG funds are available through 401(k) programs but the company declined to say how many.
