Pearl Rejoins Provident Investment Counsel

Andrew Pearl has rejoined Provident Investment Counsel of Pasadena, Calif., as managing director and portfolio manager/analyst. Pearl will focus on small-cap companies, according to Provident.

Pearl previously served at Provident from 1992 to 2001. From 1997 until his departure, he co-managed the firm's small-cap products. He left in 2001 to start his own private investment partnership.

Prior to originally joining Provident, Pearl served as a finance director negotiating joint ventures and institutional financing for Relco Industries. He previously practiced both corporate and real estate law.

Provident manages growth equity and fixed income portfolios for corporations, individuals, institutions, public funds, endowments and foundations. The firm is one of seven investment affiliates within Old Mutual Asset Managers that together cover a broad range of investment styles.
