Pioneer Investments has hired Bill C. Taylor, a 25-year veteran of the financial services industry, to serve as senior vice president and head of relationship management and strategic alliances in the U.S., reporting to Joseph D. Kringdon, head of U.S. retail distribution and president of Pioneer Funds Distributor.

Taylor was previously president of managed accounts and head of the national broker/dealer at Evergreen Investments.

“Bill is an enthusiastic and highly motivated veteran of the asset management industry and will be a valuable part of our efforts to build stronger relationships with key partners,” Kingdon said. “Bill joins a firm with a long history in the industry and a fund line-up that we believe is well suited to many investors during this difficult market cycle. He has extensive experience in managing large sales organizations and well-established relationships with many of our key business partners.”

Before working at Evergreen, Taylor was a director and senior vice president of separately managed accounts at MFS Investment Management. Before that, he was SVP, national sales and marketing director of SMAs at Alliance Capital. He also worked for Mutual Benefit Financial Services, Xerox Financial Services and Van Kampen.

Taylor is also a member of the board of governors of the Investment Company Institute and served on the board of the Investment Management Consultants Association from 2001 until earlier this year.
