Pioneer Investments is expanding its sales team in the Asia Pacific region with the additions of Martin Park as a sales director in Korea, Hiromi Wada as a Japan representative and Matthew Marks as Sales Director Institutional Asia. They all report to Jack Lin, Head of Asia and Middle East.

Park joins Pioneer from HSBC Global Asset Management (Hong Kong) Limited, where he was the Team Head of its Korean Institutional Business from 2007. Wada joins from Itau Japan Asset Management and Marks most recently served as a Director of Institutional Business with Prudential Asset Management in Singapore.

“Asia Pacific region is a key area of focus for Pioneer Investments and it is essential that we have the right people in place to help us address institutional needs in this region and to drive our global ambitions,” stated Lin.

“With pension funds in Asia Pacific now larger than those in Europe, and Sovereign Wealth Funds accounting for 40% of the global total in Asia Pacific and the Middle East, the region offers some excellent institutional opportunities.”
