Post-Holiday Buying Spree Pushes Stocks Higher

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rallied up 125.86 points to end at 12,580.69 Tuesday as investors returned from the Memorial Day weekend with their minds set on buying.

The Nasdaq rose 33.46 points to close at 2,870.99 and the S&P 500 moved up 14.60 points to finish at 1,332.42.

In economic news, consumer confidence fell to 64.9 in May, the lowest level in four months and well below the 70.0 score most economists were forecasting.
