Pru Makes Exec Appointments

Prudential Financial, Inc. today unveiled several key leadership appointments in the U.S. and Japan, effective immediately.

Most notably, Scott Sleyster has been named chief investment officer for the company, reporting to Vice Chairman Mark Grier, and Tim Schmidt will assume the role of chief investment officer for the U.S. Businesses.

Sleyster joined Prudential in 1987 and prior to his role as chief investment officer for the U.S. Businesses, he led the Full Service Retirement and Institutional Investment Products business.

Schmidt joined Prudential in July 2010 as Managing Director and the Institutional Lead for Asset/Liability Management, overseeing the Retirement and Group Insurance businesses.

“All of these executives are well suited for their new roles, and we look forward to their many contributions in the years ahead,” stated Grier.
