Two veteran UBS advisors have left the wirehouse to join Raymond James’ Alex. Brown division in Miami, citing its “boutique-feel” and large firm backing.
Enrique Triana, with 36 years of industry experience, managed $110 million in client assets and served as senior vice president of wealth management at UBS, according to a statement.
Ricardo Kassin, with 32 years in the field, managed $397 million and served ultrahigh-net-worth-clients for the bank.
The two additions follow 20 recruits that Raymond James has announced so far this year just before or during a slow down in the advisor movement due to the coronavirus pandemic. The previous recruits collectively managed $2.8 billion before joining. The new additions increase that number to $3.3 billion.
Triana brings extensive experience to serving clients in Europe and South America to UBS clients in Miami. A graduate of the Universidad de Navarra in Pamplona, Spain, he also earned a bachelor’s of science degree in economics from the Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. Earlier in his career, he held the positions of senior vice president at Banco Santander International, senior private banker at BankBoston and assistant vice president at Citibank.
In serving UHNW clients, Kassin specializes in working closely with teams of lawyers and accountants. He holds a master of business administration in finance from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
