Raymond James continues to rack in advisors, landing teams managing $354 million in client assets.
The Vandergrift Financial Group joins the firm’s employee broker-dealer in Orlando after a year with Ameriprise Financial. The team is comprised of advisors Greg Vandergrift and his son Zach, client service associate Joshua Godsil and practice business coordinator Kristin Lane. They managed $170 million in client assets.
Further south, Evan Mayer joins the firm’s independent channel in Boca Raton. He was previously affiliated with SunTrust where he managed $184 million in client assets.
He’s joined by Anny Paulino, senior vice president and office manager.
A spokeswoman for Ameriprise declined to comment on the moves. A spokesman from SunTrust didn’t respond to a request for comment.
It was the “firm’s focus on culture and the client-advisor relationship” that drew the Vandergrift group to Raymond James, Greg Vadergrift said in a statement.
Zach and Greg Vandergrift have one and 30 years of industry experience, respectively. Zach Vandergrift spent the entirety of his time at Ameriprise while Greg Vandergrift’s past work includes stints at LPL and IDS Life Insurance, according to FINRA BrokerCheck records.
Mayer has 13 years of experience, including short stints at LPL Financial and PNC Investments and seven years at SunTrust.
Raymond James also said it hired Ari Litvin as a complex manager for the firm’s employee broker-dealer in Denver.
Litvin oversees three branches in Denver, two in Boulder, and another branch in Fort Collins. He previously worked at Wells Fargo.
A spokeswoman for Wells Fargo declined to comment on the move.
