RBC picked up an adviser who managed $122 million in client assets and tapped an ex-Morgan Stanley branch manager to lead a Chicago office, the company said.
Last month, RBC

Adviser Tonya Nichols joined RBC in Portland, Oregon, from Baird, according to a spokesman. While at the regional firm, she generated $1 million in annual revenue, according to RBC. Prior to joining Baird in 2012 Nichols worked at Merrill Lynch, according to FINRA BrokerCheck records.
Also moving to RBC is Carolynn Ashton, a senior client associate who entered the industry in 2013, according to the firm.
Baird could not be reached for comment about Nichols and Ashton’s departure.
The advisers oversaw nearly $900 million in combined AUM, and moved to Morgan Stanley, Raymond James and HighTower.

RBC also said that Justin Ferdula, a former Morgan Stanley branch manager, would oversee the firm's Chicago office, according to a spokesman.
On Wall Street previously
As director of RBC’s Chicago office, Ferdula will oversee six branches and more than 60 advisers, according to a spokesman.
In 2010, he was listed among On Wall Street's Top 100 branch managers.
A spokeswoman from Morgan Stanley declined to comment on Ferdula’s exit.
