Retirement Offerings of E*Trade, Fidelity, Ameritrade Rated as Most Complete

The retirement centers of E*Trade, Fidelity and Ameritrade are the most complete of 14 leading brokerages, according to a new report from Corporate Insight.

The report is the first of a new series by Corporate Insight that will analyze the retirement offerings of mutual fund, annuity, credit card, banking and brokerage firms.

“Our firm’s new agenda is a direct response to the growing focus on the retirement needs of investors,” said Corporate Insight Executive Vice President Michael Ellison.

In particular, Corporate Insight rated the educational and online tools of E*Trade, Fidelity and Ameritrade as being very helpful. Four other companies also provided tools that could be understood by novice investors yet were still useful for more sophisticated investors, Corporate Insight said.

It was also important that two-thirds of firms divided up information for people in different age groups.

Corporate Insight’s second report will focus on mutual fund companies. It is currently researching 17 top mutual fund firms to evaluate their current offerings.
