Riepe Elected to Genworth Board

James S. Riepe, who retired as vice chairman of T. Rowe Price at the end of last year, has been named to serve on the board of directors of Genworth Financial.

Riepe worked for T. Rowe for 24 years in a variety of positions, including as director of marketing, chief information officer and head of retirement services. He has also twice served as chairman of the Investment Company Institute and currently also sits on the board of Nasdaq and the University of Pennsylvania.

"Jim is a well-known leader in the securities industry, and his extensive knowledge of investment markets, the retirement landscape and mutla fund operations brings great depth to our board," said Michael D. Fraizer, chairman and chief executive officer of Genworth.

Riepe replaces Dennis D. Dammerman, retired vice chairman and executive officer of General Electric, who left the board in December.
