Calabas, Calif.-based Rocky Peak Capital Management, LLC earlier this month launched its first mutual fund, the Rocky Peak Small Cap Value Fund (RPCSX). The fund began trading on April 2.
The portfolio Manager of the fund is Tom Kerr. Premier Fund Solutions, Inc. serves as the fund's administrator, Mutual Shareholder Services, LLC serves as its accountant and transfer agent, with Rafferty Capital Markets, LLC serving as distributor, and custody through U.S. Bank.
Rocky Peak Capital Management was founded by Kerr, who was formerly a principal and portfolio manager at RCB Investments, a Los Angeles-based investment manager, and opened its doors in December 2011.
The fund utilizes a research-driven, value-oriented approach and will focus on stocks with a market capitalization of under $3 billion, accroding to Kerr.
