Russell Adds Three Sub-Advisors to Bond Fund

Russell Investments has added three subadvisors to its Strategic Bond Fund (RFCSX), which preivously employed four subadvisors. The newly hired managers are Wellington Management Company, Macro Currency Group (an investment group within Principal Global investors) and Colchester Global Investors Limited.

Jeff Hussey, chief investment officer for fixed income at Russell, said, “These three managers, who offer diversifying strategies, were added to the Fund and weighted accordingly in order to offer more protection from increasing levels of risk due to ongoing market volatility.

The 4-star rated fund managed $8 billion in assets as of the end of June. It sports an expense ratio of 69 basis points.
