Standard & Poor's of New York last week published its latest group of Select funds, naming five mid-cap value funds "Select" for delivering consistently superior performance relative to their peers and for having strong management teams.
The five funds awarded the "Select" status were: American Century Value Funds, Colonial Select Value Fund, Eclipse Mid-Cap Value, MAS Mid-Cap Value Portfolio and State Street Research Alpha Fund.
This is the fifth Select list S&P has named to date. S&P will rate its next category, large-cap value, in September.
