Scotia Adds New Funds to Lineup

Scotia Securities Inc. said today it will expand the lineup of its Scotia Funds with the introduction of a new class of funds to be called the ScotiaFunds Advisor Class.

The new product range will initially include a suite of 10 individual funds and four portfolio solutions for investors.

"The ScotiaFunds Advisor Class builds on our existing range of diverse mutual fund offerings that provide solid investment options for clients," said Glen Gowland, managing director and head, Scotia Mutual Funds and president & CEO of SSI. "With the launch of this class, we are able to broaden out our offering to clients who work with an advisor to build their investment strategy."

Among the new offerings will be a Canadian growth fund, an international value fund, a global growth fund, a global opportunities fund, a global climate change fund and a selected moderate growth portfolio.

"Our rate of growth over the last year has exceeded our expectations and reflects our renewed commitment to providing innovative and exceptional products," Gowland said. "Today's announcement of ScotiaFunds Advisor Class is one more way that we are building broad-based investment solutions that are industry competitive and expanding our support across multiple channels. Our sales team is committed to working with advisors to help them provide the best solutions to clients."
