Snappy Kraken releases AI email builder for financial advisors

Marketing technology firm Snappy Kraken is rolling out an artificial intelligence tool to help advisors craft client and prospect emails. 

Launched on Aug. 22, the firm's new drag-and-drop email builder includes AI-powered tools for headline writing, image generation and calls to action for clients.

Snappy Kraken co-founder and CEO Robert Sofia said many advisors fall victim to what he calls "blinking cursor syndrome," described as a situation in which they have a great idea to communicate, but they're stuck staring at an empty screen as they struggle to convey it.

According to Snappy Kraken, the firm has sent more than 100 million emails on behalf of advisors since its inception in 2016. Officials say each of those emails have been analyzed to extract and refine what works and what doesn't. 

"Our response, powered by AI, tackles this issue head-on," Sofia said in a statement. "It streamlines the content creation process for advisors, freeing up their time while increasing their ability to establish and strengthen meaningful connections with clients and prospects in a straightforward, not-overwhelming manner."

The introduction of the AI-powered email tool builds on Snappy Kraken's recently announced collaboration with Idea Decanter aimed at addressing the challenges advisors encounter when trying to successfully leverage video.

Idea Decanter produces the Idea Kit, a remote video production resource that comes complete with a crew of experts and some gear to get started. When advisors sign up for an Idea Kit, the firm ships that advisor a lavalier mic, a ring light and light stands with a phone mount.

Once the gear is in hand, experts from Idea Decanter work with advisors to develop concept, messaging and delivery strategy. If an advisor wants to work from a script, they have the option to write their own or have one created for them.

When the advisor is ready to go live, Idea Decanter assists by having an expert from its team provide live coaching during the shoot. Advisors also have access to a teleprompter upon request. Once the video is done, Idea Decanter makes edits, color corrections and adds visual elements to create the final product.

According to Snappy Kraken's 2021 State of Digital Marketing report, emails with a video landing page experience a nearly 200% increase in click rate and a 20% higher open rate compared to those without.
