Spectrem Group, a Chicago consulting firm, has hired Douglas Smith as a director of sales. In this position, Smith will oversee sales and delivery of services for retirement and wealth management enterprises.
Prior to joining Spectrem, Smith served as a partner at Bank Earnings International. He has worked in the investment management and trust industry for more than 25 years, 16 of those years as a consultant.
Smith has also co-authored studies about trends in the investment management industry, and he serves on the faculty of the American Bankers Association's National Graduate Trust School. He earned his MBA from DePaul University.
