Stadion Money Management has found itself a new distribution partner.
The Watkinsville, Ga.-based copmany announced today that it has signed a distribution agreement with ALPS Distributors, Inc. ALPS replaces Stadion's current distributor, Ultimus Fund Distributors.
Michael Isaac, chief compliance officer at Stadion, did not elaborate on the dismissal of Ultimus, only stating that Stadion has enjoyed a "good relationship" with the distributor. ALPS' distribution services are a better fit for Stadion's five mutual funds, he said.
"ALPS' distribution services really fit where our fund family is moving toward: a five-fund family that also has dedicated distribution sales force," Isaac said. "Stadion funds are a multi-share-class fund family, an area where ALPS will provide some synergies for us."
Stadion currently boasts 200 arrangements with broker-dealers across the country to offer funds on their platforms, as well as a dedicated salesforce for distribution.
ALPS — a wholly-owned DST Systems, Inc., subsidiary — will begin distribution services on April 1 for Stadion's five mutual funds. That includes Stadion Managed Portfolio; Stadion Core Advantage Portfolio; Stadion Trilogy Fund; Stadion Olympus Fund; and Stadion Tactical Income Fund.
