Stein Roe Young Investor Fund Waives Minimum Investment

Stein Roe Mutual Funds of Chicago has removed the minimum investment requirement on its Young Investor Fund through July 30. During this period, an investor can open an account with a zero-dollar balance, as long as he pledges he will invest $50 a month over the subsequent 12 months.

Stein Roe is waiving the initial investment in celebration of the fund's fifth year. The fund, with 200,000 shareholders and $916 million under management, has delivered an average 27.27 annual return since inception.
